The Stockholm archipelago
Thousands of islands, granite warmed by the sun, and a different bay for every day of the summer.
East of Stockholm the land breaks into islands — some with villages and ferries, many with nothing but pine, granite and a place to tie up.
It rewards a boat that can stay out: shelter when the weather turns, room to sleep in the sun, and side decks for stepping ashore onto the rocks.
