Electric since 2013.
RAND began as an electric boat company. Of the more than 1,000 RANDs on the water, about half are electric — and electric is still where we lead.

You hear each other.
Conversation at cruising speed. Nothing running over the swim platform. A bay that barely hears you arrive. That is what electric changes — the day itself.
Serene — electric only
The Serene series runs on electric power and nothing else. Compact ePropulsion outboards and lithium batteries are designed in from the first sketch, so the boat stays light, the deck stays open and the day stays quiet — from the Serene 20 to the twin-motor Serene 33.
E-Drive — your choice
For Source, Supreme, GT and Escape, the E-Drive is an inboard electric drive you can choose instead of a combustion engine. Same hull, same layout, same design — with the battery built into the boat and shore power included.

Plug in where you moor.
Charging an electric RAND is part of coming home: tie up, plug in, and leave the rest to the night.
- 01
At your berth
Every electric RAND charges from the harbour power at your berth — on the E-Drive models, shore power is included as standard. Come home, plug in, and the boat is ready again the next morning.
- 02
Faster when you need it
The E-Drive models can be upgraded with a 22 kW fast charger with DC-DC converter, for shorter stops where a faster connection is available.
- 03
Simple arithmetic
Charging time is roughly the battery size divided by the charging power. A bigger charger fills the same battery faster; your dealer sizes the right set-up for your harbour.

Speed is the dial.
On the water, energy use rises steeply with speed. At an easy cruising pace the same battery takes you many times further than at full throttle — so an electric day is planned the way good days on the water always were: unhurried out, a long stop, home before the light goes.
We publish measured range, speed and charging times for each model and battery once they have been confirmed on the water. Until then, the honest answer comes from a sea trial — and from your dealer, who can walk you through a realistic day for the way you use the boat.
Living with electric.
How far can I go on one charge?
It depends above all on speed. At a relaxed cruising pace an electric boat uses a fraction of the energy it needs at full speed, so the same battery lasts many times longer. We publish measured range for each model and battery once it has been confirmed on the water — until then, your dealer can take you through realistic days for the way you use the boat.
How fast is an electric RAND?
Top speed depends on the model, the battery and the load aboard. We publish measured speed for each electric model once it has been confirmed on the water — the best way to feel it before then is a sea trial.
Where do I charge?
At your berth. You plug in to the harbour power when you come home and leave with a full battery — on the E-Drive models, shore power is included as standard. E-Drive models can be upgraded with a 22 kW fast charger for shorter stops where faster charging is available.
How long does charging take?
Roughly the battery size divided by the charging power: a bigger charger fills the same battery faster. Overnight at the berth is enough for most days. Your dealer will size the right set-up for your harbour.
Can I choose electric on every RAND?
Serene is electric only. Source 25, Source 30, Supreme 27, GT 25, GT 28, Escape 29, Escape 32 and Escape 44 can be ordered with the electric E-Drive or with combustion engines. See the line-up below or configure your boat.
What about maintenance?
An electric drive has far fewer moving parts than a combustion engine — no engine oil changes, no fuel system, no exhaust. Your dealer services the boat and the battery system with the same care as any RAND.
